Sanja Ristic is a Creative Producer, Artistic Director and Choreographer. For more than 25 years, she has worked at the intersection of movement, choreography, casting, film, commercials, stage, fashion and live performance. Her artistic background began in Basel’s contemporary dance theatre scene around Be Willie and Cîrqu’enflex, where she developed a deep understanding of ensemble work, stage presence and life on tour as a dancer and performer.
In 1999, Sanja became part of the founding TV Team and TV Presenter of VIVA-SWIZZ, Switzerland’s first music television channel, where she hosted the station’s most-watched formats. This early work shaped her eye for camera, editing, rhythm, pop culture and visual identity — long before social media and creator culture became the norm.
International projects later took her to Berlin, New York, Amsterdam and Munich including work as an assistant director for Constanza Macras / DorkyPark, further stage experience with ecotopia dance productions on international european tour, and film movement training with established choreographers such as Francesca Jaynes.
Driven by her fascination with urban dance, pop culture, fashion and the avant-garde, Sanja began developing her own artistic language: combining choreography, stage design, light, fashion and video projection mapping into immersive live experiences. In 2012, she received a scholarship at the 3LD Technology Center in New York, where she deepened her research into dance, 3D video projection mapping and immersive stage environments. This artistic signature created the fondation and led to pioneering projects such as Animal Instinct (New York) and later RE.SHOW (Munich), which was awarded the Red Dot Award, German Design Award, iF Design Award and ADC Award in 2019.
